After spending many years in the classroom nurturing creativity and hands-on discovery in young learners, Michele Cone, Ed.D., knew that her passion for child-centered learning was the heart of everything she did. She was drawn to Acorn's Montessori mission and its deep commitment to whole-child education, creativity, and joyful discovery — values she has championed throughout her entire career in education.
Dr. Cone brings over 30 years of experience as both a teacher and educational leader, with a background in curriculum development, STEM/STEAM innovation, and social-emotional learning. A lifelong Hunterdon County resident, she is proud to help strengthen Acorn as a place where children thrive and families feel at home.
In her spare time, Michele enjoys painting and gardening — passions that feel right at home on Acorn's beautiful five-acre campus.
