Toddler summer session
Join us at Acorn for a summer full of learning, exploring, and outdoor fun.
Our youngest children enjoy a Montessori environment and Montessori trained teachers who lead a learning environment with lots of summer fun and outdoor time in a shaded, secure play space that is specifically designed for the toddler-aged child. Each week there are water activities, interaction with nature, walks in our Chipmunk Woods, singing, baking, food-making, picking flowers and vegetables in our gardens. and playing with materials that build the physical and verbal skills needed to develop optimally. Toddlers continue to follow a familiar and child-responsive daily schedule, which allows them to be secure and independent in their own movements and choices. Children bring their own lunch to eat outside at picnic tables during nice weather and inside an air-conditioned room if the weather is not favorable. Acorn’s Toddler summer experience is for children walking-36 months old.
Primary summer session

Join us at Acorn for a summer full of adventure. Our Primary Summer Experience keeps children learning, exploring, and thriving all summer long through a blend of Montessori principles and joyful seasonal fun. Weekly themes—such as Young Scientists, Secret Agents, and our much-loved Heroes Week—spark imagination and excitement while offering meaningful, hands-on learning.
Children who stay for summer session enjoy outdoor adventures, water play, and games that support the development of new skills and interests, encourage friendships, and build self-confidence. Through play and discovery, children continue to strengthen their talents, curiosity, and creativity in a nurturing environment.
Children bring their own lunch and dine outdoors at picnic tables whenever weather allows. On rainy days or during extreme heat, lunch takes place indoors in the air-conditioned Oak Grove space. Acorn’s Primary Summer Experience is designed for children ages 3 to 6.
Elementary summer session
For students entering grades 1st to 3rd, we offer the following:
Variety week Camp - late June (1 week)
Before traditional camps in the area start, we offer a week of fun focused around a daily focus that elementary-aged children love along with plenty of time outdoors on our shaded and wooded grounds and playground for play, exercise, nature exploration, picnics, and games. Daily focus areas may include: arts, science, sports, crafting, nature-study, and the like.
School Readiness - Montessori Math and Reading Camp (2 weeks)
Get back into the school-time groove. Students entering Kindergarten to grade 6 will work with the Montessori math and language materials. Teachers will guide children through the introduction of new lessons as well as reinforce skills from the previous school year. In the afternoon, the children will enjoy a mixture of academic enrichment, old fashioned camp and sports activities as well as art.
