Annual fund campaign

We are pleased to launch Acorn’s 2026–2027 Annual Fund Campaign, Rooted at Acorn: Renewing Our Campus Together, with a goal of raising $35,000 to renew and enhance our outdoor learning environments. We invite you to help care for the spaces where our children learn, explore, and grow each day.

Our beautiful five-acre campus is an extension of the Montessori classroom. Whether children are tending a garden, observing wildlife, sharing a story, or working together outdoors, they are developing independence, curiosity, and care for their surroundings. Building on last year’s investment in new playground equipment, this campaign will strengthen the outdoor spaces we already have.

Our campaign priorities are:

• Outdoor Classrooms and Learning Areas. Refresh seating, tables, and work surfaces to support reading, storytelling, art, STEAM, and practical life activities.
• Gardens and Nature Exploration. Revitalize gardens with vegetable and herb beds, sensory and pollinator plantings, composting, and nature signage that invite children to observe and care for the natural world.
• Campus Beautification and Natural Spaces. Refresh landscaping, trees, shrubs, and existing gathering areas to preserve our campus’s beauty and create welcoming spaces for learning and community.
• Fencing, Gates, and Outdoor Infrastructure. Replace priority sections of aging split-rail fencing and gates and address supporting needs such as pathways, shade, drainage, and outdoor storage.

We ask that gifts be made by December 31, 2026. Final projects will be selected based on funds raised, project costs, and campus priorities. Planning and preparation will take place during the winter, with improvements beginning in spring and summer 2027.

Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference. We hope every Acorn family will participate at a level that is comfortable for them. We will share campaign progress and updates as projects move forward.
