Julie Swenson

Art Instructor

My family's connection to Montessori began when our sons attended Montessori schools, and we embraced its philosophy in our home throughout their childhood. Those same values became the foundation of the arts, yoga, and summer camp programs my husband and I created at Soulshine Farm.

Teaching Art at the Hunterdon Art Museum led me to Acorn Montessori School, and from the moment I arrived, it felt like home. I love sharing time with Acorn's creative children, helping them build confidence as they learn to trust their ideas, solve problems, explore, experiment, and find joy in the creative process.

Outside of Acorn, I enjoy creating artwork, writing, gardening, hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with my family and grandchildren.
