I have always loved working with children, and that passion has continued to grow throughout my career in early childhood education and led me to earn an associate’s degree in education from Liberty University and gain years of hands-on experience working with children. What drew me to Montessori education is its deep respect for each child as an individual. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, Montessori nurtures each child's unique strengths, interests, and pace of development, helping children build confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
My journey to Acorn Montessori began through the glowing recommendations of families and educators who spoke so highly of the school and its community. When I had the opportunity to observe the classrooms firsthand, I immediately understood why. I was inspired by the peaceful environment, the children's independence and focus, and the warmth that filled every classroom. Acorn felt less like a school and more like a home, a place where children are truly known, respected, and valued.
I love watching children discover new skills, gain confidence, and experience the joy of learning. As both an educator and a parent, I am especially grateful to be part of a community where my son and I can both learn, grow, and thrive together.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories with my son.
One of my favorite Maria Montessori quotes is, "Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world." This quote reminds me that every child possesses unique gifts, and our role as educators is to create an environment where those gifts can flourish with confidence and purpose
