Elementary Assistant Teacher

What first drew me to Montessori is its focus on the whole child. Montessori allows children the freedom to choose, make decisions, and develop independence and confidence, while igniting a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. As an alumna of Acorn Montessori, I have many fond memories of my own experience there. It felt natural to choose Acorn for my children as well, giving them the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in the same nurturing environment that shaped me. I love working with children because it allows me to support their natural curiosity, independence, and joy in learning. I firmly believe in Dr. Maria Montessori’s words, “Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed,” and I believe this philosophy begins in the

earliest years of a child’s life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working on home projects, and exploring the beautiful area we live in—especially discovering new restaurants.
