Programs
A child's Montessori education begins in the prepared environment of the Toddler House that is uniquely designed as an extension of the home.
Beginning at age 3, children work individually and cooperatively with materials that engage their curiosity, while having the freedom to explore and to observe. The array of materials engage the child with numbers and language, writing and reading, art and music - the tools of abstract reasoning and communication.
The Primary Program encompasses a three-year span, with the ultimate blossoming that takes place in the third, or Kindergarten year.
Acorn's Elementary Program explores everything from the microscopic to the cosmic and allows the child to discover the interrelatedness of all things. Material and group activities develop individual and cooperative skills.
