Twelve Month Contracts

Acorn offers children full time care beginning at 7:30 Am and ending at 6 PM, from July 1 through the following June 30.

The day begins with a leisurely and nutritious breakfast from 7:30 - 8:30 AM. At 8:30, they are escorted to their assigned Montessori class and remain there until lunch beings at 11:30. When lunch is over at 12:30, children age four and over remain in their same Montessori classroom for the afternoon session, beginning with DEAR Time (Drop Everything and Read) and, concluding with their Montessori work and playground time at 2:45.

Children under the age of 4 will join 12 month children from other classes at 11:30 AM for lunch and napping in a friendly, air conditioned environment created exclusively for them. At 2:45PM, they will rejoin children remaining in Rainbow Club until picked up on or before 6 PM.

12-month contract children are covered for approximately 244 days throughout the calendar year. When Acorn classes are not in session, the 12-month children attend for a full day of daycare from 7:30AM - 6PM. Special activities are planned for these days. During the summer months, the 12-month children are incorporated into all the Summer Camp activities with the exception of the Reading & Math Clinic in August. If you want your child (entering grades Kindergarten and up) to participate in Reading & Math, there is an additional fee.
