Welcome to Acorn's Parent Association! The Parent Association is a vehicle which provides parents an opportunity to become actively involved in the school.
We at Acorn feel parental involvement through volunteering benefits many aspects of the school, but most importantly it is a key element in providing your child
with a positive educational experience. Maria Montessori felt deeply regarding the potency of our individual gifts to the children when she said, to give a ray of light and to go on our way." She believed that children nurtured in body, mind and spirit would guide humanity toward a more peaceful world. Maria Montessori dedicated her life to the spiritual renewal of humanity through the child. All of our good works can therefore be seen as fulfilling Maria Montessori's noblest of goals and our energies combine to illuminate our children's way on the path of life. Acorn is very proud of the fact that it is a community built on the time and talents of its families. We strongly encourage every family to become an active participant in this community by chairing or co-chairing an event at least once during your time with the school. The diverse backgrounds, skills and generosity of our parents greatly impact the success of our school programs. It is with great excitement and confidence that we embark on another enriching year.
