"It is a child who makes a man, and no man exists who was not made by the child."
- Maria Montessori
The person we are today is totally dependent on the childhood and the values one imbibed as a child. It is, therefore, very important to provide an environment which stimulates growth, development and aid the child to experience learning. The first 3 years of a child is an unconscious mind as described by Maria Montessori, one which the adult cannot approach, not have a direct influence.
During my college years I often cared for infants and toddlers , and loved to see their little mind at work. I was surprised and fascinated to see their strength and independence. Their communication, both verbally and nonverbally, left me in awe. A proper environment is the only tool they need to achieve their full potential. This experience was so gratifying that when the right opportunity came I bid my adieu to the HR world and joined the wonderful community of Acorn.
At Acorn, I feel like I am at home, where I am at ease and doing what I love the most.
I personally love traveling and collecting antiques from my travels. I also routinely work with underprivileged kids throughout Asia .
My hobbies include cooking singing and writing poetry.
