Hari Bhasin

Although Harish Bhasin has just recently begun teaching at Acorn, he considers the school a “home away from home”.  An experienced Yoga instructor, Harish discovered that the children in his extended family loved coming to him for help with their homework, and he found this so satisfying, he became an elementary school teacher. He is very impressed by the compassion of the teachers at Acorn, and finds the concept of mixed age classrooms with children staying with the same teacher for three years to be a great opportunity to understand intimately each child’s developmental levels, learning styles, and family support systems. This is in keeping with the Montessori philosophy of developing the whole personality of the child, not merely his or her intellect. Harish wants his students to be motivated learners, and for them to grasp a strong foundation of academic concepts.

In addition to yoga, Harish also enjoys music, cooking and reading.
